Friendliness of staff, lovely cooked breakfast and location! Very enjoyable stay, thank you!
Only that we couldn't open the windows...but I understand this is for security as you wouldn't want anyone falling out of them!
The proximity to the tennis and the ammenities in the city centre.
The staff were so friendly, smiley and happy. Nothing was too much trouble, and there was always a welcome greeting on entering the hotel. They realised I was a tennis umpire and made sure I was given an order of play each day to peruse at breakfast. They also catered to my requirements at breakfast and in the room.
The room was a little small, but I had booked a single so cannot really complain. I could here conversations in the room next door...
Overall it was comfortable, clean, friendly and great value. I would definitely stay again and would recommend this place to others.
The decor is a bit old fashioned but this was really a minor point.
Family run, quiet hotel in perfect location. If you want to avoid the noisy hotels and enjoy a peaceful break, this is perfect. The front lounge is very nice for reading and relaxing with a view of the beach.
the location was excellent right on the seafront roadand a short walk to town centre for shops and restaurants.
Very comfortable room lovely view all in all very enjoyable stay
The staff and the breakfasts
The bed was too soft and one tended to sink into it.
Bed was most uncomfortable ~ dipped in the middle. Very tired old fasioned decor. Bathroom was old and dated. Not sparkling clean. No toiletries or hairdryer. Breakfast was only served between 8am and 9am even on Sunday!! Would definately not use again
Welcoming staff, room very clean, lovely sea view, big bed
Only tiny bar of soap in the room, breakfast only 8-9 and not great selection, decor needs updating
friendly welcome and efficient organization. We appreciated knowing that it was a small room at the back of the hotel.
Convienence to the town, on the seafront and helpful staff.
Great location near the Eastbourne Pier, good price, flexible and friendly staff, cosy atmosphere.
As the building is rather old, from the room you can hear people walking through the corridor or on the floor above you. Also, window curtains do not block the sunlight too effectively - not good if you like sleeping longer.
Conveniently situated. Good value.
No private parking: but voucher assistance for street parking after 11.00 am
we were made very welcome , room was clean but small, breakfast was good. sea views fantastic
was more of a b& b than a hotel, not much space in room , bathroom tiny, when toilet flushed there was a horrible smell from drains in bathroom , good job weather was nice and we could open windows
